People’s Climate Mobilisation

10 September 2014 by kate Leave a Comment

On Sunday 21st there will be a mass mobilisation to protect the earth’s climate. It’s happening all over the world to coincide with a global summit on climate change. In the UK, it’s organised by a huge coalition of different groups, including Avaaz, Fuel Poverty Action, Greenpeace UK and 350.org. There will be a march from Temple Place to Parliament House.

We’ll probably be blogging more about this nearer the time!  (It’s on Facebook too.)

TTIP: national day of action

17 June 2014 by kate 1 Comment

Saturday 12th July will be a day of action against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP),We’re joining forces with lots of other groups – including trade unions, anti-poverty campaigners and environmental organisations – to raise awareness of the dangers posed by TTIP.

Confused about what TTIP is? At our July meeting, one of our group members will be giving a quick talk (less than 5 minutes) explaining why this rather dull-sounding treaty spells disaster for campaigners like us.
