Campaigning for justice for the world's poor in Oxfordshire
How can communities take control of the food they produce and consume? In January we’ll be hosting a free film screening about food sovereignty, showing examples of successful food projects in several different countries. Key details:

This full-length documentary covers one woman’s journey down the Amazon in a series of small boats, researching the effects of the oil industry on the environment and indigenous people. The documentary is followed by a Q&A and discussion with the director, Nicola Peel.

Do the Math is a 42-minute documentary about the grassroots movement that is emerging to fight climate change and the fossil fuel industry. Free screening; no advance bookings. There will be a discussion afterwards about the possibility of making Oxford the first fossil-fuel-free British city.

Would you let an energy company ruin the area around your home town? Drill Baby Drill is the inspirational story of people in Poland and Pennsylvania standing up to the multinationals who want to use “fracking” (hydraulic drilling for shale gas) in their local areas.
Green MEP Keith Taylor is taking the film around South-East England and it comes to Oxford on Tuesday 16th July. Tickets are free, but space is limited so please book in advance.
