11am-12pm. We will be doing a piece of street theatre/stunt focusing on food speculation outside Tesco on Cowley Road, Oxford. Come along and have some fun and put across an important message at the same time. If you don’t feel like dressing up, we need people handing out cards etc too.
If you can help out, contact us on oxwdm@phonecoop.coop or 01295 259 377.
Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th December 2011
2-5pm Sat & Sun: Trading for Development and the Jericho Community Centre are holding their annual Fair Trade Christmas Fair at the Jericho Community Centre (33a Canal Street, Oxford, OX2 6BQ)
As well as fair trade products, there will also be a raffle in aid of the Oxford-based homeless charity, The Gatehouse.
WDM’s campaign to stop food speculation now has a comic take! The Real George Osborne – a 14 episode comedy web series about George Osborne’s personal journey towards tackling global hunger. We hope that you enjoy it, share it with your friends and, crucially, take action.
View the video and take action at The Real George Osborne.
We’re part of Global Justice Now, a democratic membership organisation which campaigns against inequality and injustice in the global economy. We want to see a world where ordinary people control the resources they need to live a decent life, rather than corporations and the super rich calling the shots.
