Saturday 30th July, from 12 noon

Following the decision by North Yorkshire County Council to approve a fracking application at Kirby Misperton despite overwhelming local opposition, campaigners are applying for judicial review. To demonstrate the strength of the opposition to fracking, a demonstration has been called on 30th July in York. Please come in support if you can. The event is family friendly, so feel free to bring friends and family!

A weekend of radical politics, creativity and celebration. Join artists, activists and writers to change the way you see the world and discuss how we can take it back from the 1%. Event organised by national Global Justice Now. Event info and buy tickets.

Sunday 22nd May, 12pm

Starting at 12.00pm, people should gather outside Sheffield Town Hall and the walk will be led by Steve Andrew. You will be guided round many sites of historical importance. Some of them you may be familiar with but others, I feel sure, will have an element of surprise. Afterwards walkers can retreat to a local pub and puzzle over a quiz on Cuba. The cost will be £5 per person and the money raised will go to a central fund, to bring the Miami Five to the UK.

Discussing the impact of income inequality and the campaigns trying to tackle it. Hosted by Sheffield Equality Group, all welcome.
