Saturday 10th March, 9:30am-1pm
Event organised by the Sheffield Methodist Circuit Justice & Peace Mission Action Group
Sainsbury’s have recently introduced their own fairly-traded brand of tea and there have been recent challenges about the efficacy of ethical consumerism to actually reach the world’s poorest people. This event will take a look at the challenges posed in a book, ‘Doing Good Better’, by William MaCaskill and we will hear from two speakers about their experiences of Fairtrade. This promises to be an interesting morning with opportunities for questions and discussion, as well as refreshments and home-made cake! Please come along and join us.
