Yorkshire and Humber Network Against TTIP meeting

Saturday 12th September, 2pm-4pm

Come along to contribute to planning for autumn campaigning and lobbying of Yorkshire and Humber MEPs on the issue of TTIP.

Venue: Leeds Tidal, Ebor Court off Skinner Street, Leeds.

The labour Party European Parliament spokes-person, Judith Kirton –Darling MEP will speak and answer questions on the TTIP negotiations (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) , which were recently debated in the European Parliament and which are currently ongoing in Brussels.

Judith is one of the new generation of labour MEP’s in the European Parliament and was elected to the European Parliament in 2014 having previously worked for the Trade Unions in Brussels .

Corporate courts give fossil fuel companies the power to sue governments for taking action on the climate emergency. They are an obstacle to a clean energy transition and to achieving climate justice. Tell Keir Starmer and the trade department not to let corporate courts block climate action.

Prime Minister: Support the Global Exit Plan from Fossil Fuels
The Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty is a global plan to bring a fast and fair end to the era of coal, oil and gas. This transformative global plan is being championed by climate-vulnerable countries in te global sout. Now we need big polluting states like the UK on board.
