Thursday 7th August, 7pm-9pm: Sheffield WDM monthly meeting

Our monthly meeting to discussing upcoming events and campaigns. The main agenda item will be to do “fun brainstorming” on an autumn launch for the agribusiness campaign. We may also look at planning the protest or lobby outside the BAB (British American Business) “roadshow” for TTIP on October 1st.

NOTE – change of venue: The Church House pub, St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW (nr Sheffield Cathedral)

Our next planning meeting will be on Thursday, November 7th, 7.00-9.00 pm at Central United Reformed Church (Room 3), Norfolk Street, Sheffield S1 2JB (opposite the Crucible Theatre).

Don't let corporate courts block climate action.
Corporate courts give fossil fuel companies the power to sue governments for taking action on the climate emergency. They are an obstacle to a clean energy transition and to achieving climate justice. Tell Boris Johnson and the trade department not to let corporate courts block climate action.

Suspend patents on Covid-19 vaccines.
We are facing a global scarcity of vaccines because big pharma patents and corporate secrecy prevent other manufacturers from making them. We need the government to remove the barriers to ramp up global supply and ensure fair allocation of vaccines. No one is safe until everyone is safe. Join the campaign for A People's Vaccine.
