Global Justice Now Reading

Successful film night at RISC

April 3, 2012 by Sarah Reader

On 26 March we held a successful film night at RISC. We watched two short films: ‘Crises of Capitalism’ and ‘A Natural System and Agricultural Philosophy and then had some really good discussions about economic justice, food sovereignty and campaigning locally in Reading. There was a lot of energy for getting a new WDM group going in Reading and people had lots of ideas about upcoming events that we could organise a stall at, other local groups to get in touch with, and ways of making WDM’s campaigns relevant to people in Reading.

We’re having our next meeting on Monday 23 April at 7.30pm at RISC.

Come along and find out more about getting more involved with the new group.

We’re part of Global Justice Now, a democratic membership organisation which campaigns against inequality and injustice in the global economy. We want to see a world where ordinary people control the resources they need to live a decent life, rather than corporations and the super rich calling the shots.
