Based on leading research, the 90 minute presentation clearly articulates the facts of extreme poverty and demonstrates that by making simple changes everyone can be a part of the solution.

UK Uncut

December 15, 2010 by glasgow

Every year developing countries lose at least £250bn because of the tax dodging antics of multinational corporations and the rich people who run them. And at the same time, we in the UK are facing unprecedented cuts in public spending because of the failures of the bankers, whilst multi-billionaires and their companies avoid tax. That’s why we’re joining in with UK Uncut

Saturday 18th Dec, 10am, meet on Royal Concert Hall steps near Topshop

We still own 84% of RBS…and they’re still investing heavily in fossil fuel projects around the world, damaging the planet and human rights at the same time. We’re going to raise some more awareness amongst the good people of Glasgow and noise up RBS a bit in the process. Come and join us

12-1pm, Tuesday 7th December, outside RBS, Sauchiehall Street

Let them know that you want a Royal Bank of Sustainability, not the Royal Bank of Shame!

The £45 billion question

What would you invest in? Our government has given £45billion to RBS – not far off the GDP of Iraq. Much of this is now being invested by RBS in projects which are harmful to both people and planet.

This interactive event will put you in charge to re-imagine how the money could be spent.

Tuesday 12 October, 6-30-8:30pm, Renfield St Stephens, 250 Bath Street

Free event with refreshments, but please register by emailing office@wdmscotland.org.uk or calling 0131-243-2730
