All the big UK banks are fuelling climate change by funding fossil fuel projects around the world. And HSBC are among the worst – financing coal to the tune of £3.8bn, and £75bn in share issues for fossil fuel companies over the last few years. So we thought we’d open a wee coal mine outside the bank to highlight the craziness of funding global warming.
Saturday 9 November, 12-1pm
Outside HSBC (corner of Buchanan St and Argyle St)
We’ll have a couple of bankers, a couple of miners, and maybe even a human piece of coal to raise awareness with the good folk of Glasgow. Come along to find out more, and sign an action card if you have a minute to spare.
Or you can take action online right now.
