Stop Hunterston!

November 5, 2011 by glasgow

North Ayrshire Council are about to make their decision on whether or not to support Ayrshire Power’s plans for a new coal-fired power station at Hunterston. More than 20,000 people have formally objected to this proposal (more than any other development in the history of Scottish planning), so now we need to make sure that North Ayrshire Council don’t ignore this huge level of opposition.

Wednesday 9th November, from 1pm

North Ayrshire Council offices, Cunninghame House, Irvine

Join CONCH, RSPB and others to make sure that the Councillors know they have your support to say no to Hunterston!

We’re part of Global Justice Now, a democratic membership organisation which campaigns against inequality and injustice in the global economy. We want to see a world where ordinary people control the resources they need to live a decent life, rather than corporations and the super rich calling the shots.
