After the debacle of last year, where any stalls with a political angle were cancelled because of last minute insurance issues, this year the Nottingham Green Festival was back to its usual vibrant self. We held a stall focussing mainly on ISDS (Corporate Courts) and the upcoming global days of action to get ISDS out of trade deals, and on trying to get Palantir out of the NHS. We got a considerable number of signatures on petitions for both these, and had a wheel of fortune on display to demonstrate that with ISDS corporations win either way – they can make their profit, or if banned can sue and still make a profit. Either way, the taxpayer loses.
