It’s estimated that Barclays could be making as much as £340m a year from speculating in food commodities. This kind
of gambling on hunger is pushing up food prices around the world and pushing people in poorer countries towards starvation, purely for profit. We’ll be doing a wee stunt in the centre of Glasgow to highlight this issue with the media and the good people of Glasgow – come and join us if you want.
