Global Justice Now members in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire campaign on trade, debt, aid and justice issues generally. We’d love you to join us.     Would love to be on your mailing list – I live on the Island so not always possible to come to meetings as I am also a single parent and from September a full- time mature student. I have only just come across WDM and I am so keep to learn more. Thanks and so glad there are people out there striving for a better world.

    Nick Dearden the new Director of the World Development Movement will be talking on Food Sovereignty and Agribusiness and Megan Saunders will explain the Local Food Project at a vegetarian Food Futures meal cooked by students at Highbury College at their CHIMES Restaurant Winston Churchill Avenue PO1 2D4

    Carbon Capital – Fighting the Finance that’s driving Climate Change.
    Hendrik Siregar who’s the co-ordinator of the JATAM mining advocacy network in Indonesia will be showing us how banks, hedge funds and pension funds are bankrolling carbon-based energy projects which are wrecking communities and fuelling climate change.
    Hendrik will be joined by Hannah Griffiths, head of Policy and campaigns at WDM
    Free event but a curry and soft drink will be available for £5
