Eco Film Club – Saturday 18th May 6pm
Global Justice Bradford and Bradford Cathedral are co-operating in showing a series of films with an environmental theme. They are shown in the de Lacy Centre in the cathedral grounds (BD1 4EH)
The next film is called “Home” by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose name may be familiar for his photographs of “Earth from the Air”. All are welcome
Campaigning Tenacity
For over two years now, members of Global Justice Bradford, with many friends and members of other organisations such as Unite, have continued to hold a Friday vigil (12 till 1pm, whatever the weather!) outside the offices of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF). In the face of a climate emergency, they are demanding that the fund stops investing in fossil fuels.
There has been some success, as WYPF have now stopped investing in new fossil fuel projects. However the group will not stop holding the vigils until divestment is total.

Weekly vigil to demand West Yorkshire Pension Fund divests from fossil fuels
For over a year now, Global Justice Bradford members and friends have been holding a weekly vigil outside the West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) Head Office in Bradford.
Every Friday, from noon to 1pm, there has been a presence at the door of Aldermanbury House (BD1 2ST) demanding that the WYPF divests from fossil fuels. All are invited to join in supporting us.
Particular thanks are due to David and Mollie Somerville who have been the most committed protesters.
