Campaigners challenge HSBC on climate change funding

December 27, 2013 by Global Justice Bradford

hsbc 001 800Bradford World Development Movement activists set up a climate ‘crime scene’ outside the HSBC on Market Street, Bradford on 4 December 2013. This was to protest at the bank’s financing of fossil fuel extraction, which is contributing to climate change as well as damaging the environment in countries where it takes place. Members of the public signed cards to demand the bank stop bankrolling climate change. These cards were given to the HSBC manager.
